Welcome to WEST – WE Skill Together. These Instructor Terms and Conditions (“Terms“) govern your participation as an Instructor on our platform. By agreeing to these Terms, you enter into a binding agreement with WEST (hereinafter “we,” “us,” or “our”).

- Why You Should Join WEST as an Instructor
WEST is India’s leading platform focused on youth development, bridging the gap between education and employment.
- WEST aims to cover over 15–20% of India’s youth each year through its various skilling and career development programs, giving instructors significant visibility and earning potential.
- As an instructor, you get an opportunity to build a massive learner base and grow your professional brand.
- You will contribute to the national mission of employability enhancement, making a real impact across Tier 1 to Tier 3 cities.

- Eligibility & Instructor Responsibilities
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to enter into a binding contract.
- You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information you submit to WEST.
- You agree to provide high-quality content, including video lectures, written material, assessments, and interactive elements (where applicable).
- You agree to act professionally in all interactions with learners and the WEST team.
- You agree to not use, display or share any of your personal information with students, learners through your courses, logos, thumbnails, cover page, profile photo, video, pdf etc in the courses or in the chat, discussion forum. Any such activity may lead to suspension of the account and may have repercussions WEST admin may penalise.
- Instructor Qualification Requirement: To qualify as an instructor, you are requested to submit at least 4 free training courses with a minimum of 1–2 hours of content each. These will be reviewed and, upon approval, published on the WEST website and social media channels to grow your audience reach. Only upon approval will you be considered a certified WEST Instructor.
- Course Submission & Approval
- All content must be submitted for review and approval by the WEST content team.
- WEST reserves the right to accept, modify, or reject content submissions.
- Once approved, your course will be published on WEST’s platform and/or distributed across WEST’s partner networks.
- Content Ownership & Licensing
- Ownership: As the Instructor, you retain ownership of the content you create, provided it is original and not infringing on any third-party rights.
- License to WEST: By submitting content, you grant WEST a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, market, distribute, publish, and sublicense your content on our platform and partner channels, including for promotional purposes.
- Social Media & Promotional Use: You specifically grant WEST the right to use, consume, edit, and reproduce your content (including videos, graphics, clips, testimonials, quotes, and visuals) on platforms such as LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and other social or communication platforms for educational, awareness, or promotional purposes.
- Co-branded Programs: In case your content is developed in partnership with WEST (e.g., co-branded bootcamps or exclusive modules), joint ownership or exclusive rights may be discussed and agreed upon in a separate agreement.
- Compensation & Payout Terms
- As an instructor, you will receive one of the highest payouts in the industry for each course sold as per agreement between you and WEST.
- Payment will be made 45 days after the course purchase to account for refund policies and operational processing.
- WEST may revise, update, or edit the course price based on market trends, user demand, or strategic business needs. The payout will be calculated on the revised sales price.
- Any alternate compensation model (e.g., fixed fee or bonus model) may be mutually agreed upon in writing.
- Pricing Suggestion: Always try to keep your course price moderate and accessible so that it can be consumed by a larger base of learners and encourage repeat enrollments in your future offerings.
- Tips for Content Creation
- Use a bright, well-lighted room for recordings.
- Prefer soundproof recording environments or use professional recording devices.
- Videos should be of high quality with no interruptions or background noise.
- Clearly define learning outcomes in both the course description and introductory video.
- Do not request or collect personal information from users in quizzes, workbooks, or downloadable content, in adherence with data privacy laws.
- Use firm and clear language while explaining concepts.
- Use a digital board or screen to demonstrate topics visually.
- Avoid long pauses, multiple unnecessary cuts, or extended gaps in your video recordings.
- Do not use any logo, watermark, or branding other than your personal name or brand as registered with WEST.
- Prohibited Conduct
You agree NOT to:
- Post or distribute content that is misleading, defamatory, obscene, infringing, or unlawful.
- Solicit learners for services outside of WEST’s platform.
- Upload content that you do not have rights or licenses to distribute.
- Quality Control & Content Updates
- WEST reserves the right to request revisions, updates, or re-recordings if your content becomes outdated or receives negative feedback.
- You are encouraged to review and update your course material periodically.
- Confidentiality & Data Use
- You agree to keep confidential all proprietary information shared by WEST.
- Any data or insights shared with you (e.g., student feedback, analytics) should be used solely for improving course quality.
- Termination
- Either party may terminate this agreement with prior written notice (30 days recommended).
- Upon termination, WEST may continue to use previously published content for a reasonable time unless otherwise agreed.
- Limitation of Liability
- WEST shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- WEST does not guarantee any specific level of earnings, reach, or learner engagement.
- Governing Law
- These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India.
- Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Gurgaon.
- Amendments
- WEST may revise these Terms at any time. Updates will be shared via email or platform notification.
- Continued use of the platform after changes implies your acceptance.
