META Layoff’s 11000 employees- The story of many professionals & families

The Massachusetts technology sector has benefited over the past decade from the expanding operations of West Coast giants such as Google, Meta, & Amazon, which created thousands of local jobs. Now, that trend is reversing. Meta, the parent company of Facebook, on Wednesday announced the largest layoff in the company’s 18-year history, cutting more than 11,000 people, or 13 percent of its workforce. Google is also in cost-cutting mode, trimming projects, limiting travel, and slowing hiring, chief executive Sundar Pichai has said. And last week, Amazon said it would “pause” hiring for its corporate workforce until next year. The economic pressure on the West Coast tech giants, which all have substantial operations in Massachusetts that they were planning to expand before the slowdown hit, could lead to more local job losses. These losses will always be remembered, but for sure, professionals should continue to aspire to their dreams, working on their learnings, development, and growth to have the edge over others in the competitive environment. For those who lost their jobs in this mass layoff, we have complete sympathy & WE would work with you together to support & see you on your goals. Remember, there is nothing that lasts forever, neither happiness nor sorrow. Fight for your success; you are a fighter. Good luck with your future. With lots of love & respect!

Rich mom Poor mom | Inspirational story This is a short story of conversation between a rich mom and a poor Mom. Once there was a rich looking lady “Rita”, makeup on and well dressed waiting outside the grocery store. Then there comes a lady who seems poor by her looks ” Sita” she noticed the lady standing outside and asked her. “is that Rita? Hey ” the poor woman asked. The rich woman Rita looked confused and tried to remember her. “Oh, hey”. “oh, I haven’t seen you since you moved out of the neighborhood.” “yeah, we fell on some hard times but you know we managed. anyway, how’s your son?” the second lady replied. The rich woman started to build a great image of her son. ” I’m so proud of him. He’s perfect. He graduated Stanford with honors. He’s so successful. Where did your son go to college?” The second lady answered, “oh, well, my son didn’t go to college” “Oh, I’m Sorry, well after college my son started his own business. He is doing so well. Does your son have his own business? ” “Oh, no, my son doesn’t have his own business, he works for a company.” the Rich mom answered, ” That’s too bad. Well, my son will be here any minute to pick me up and take me to his house in the hills. Where does your son live? ” At the very moment, the poor mom’s son arrived. and said sorry for coming late and asked her to hand over the baggage. She hands him the bags and asked him to wait for a while in the car until she says goodbye to her old friend. The poor mom turns towards the rich mom and explained ” My son didn’t go to college because I had gotten sick and he decided to stay back and take care of me. I begged him to go to school but he refused to leave my side.” ” And my son didn’t start his own business because he works for a non-profit company. To him, It’s not about how much money he makes but instead about the difference that he can make in other people’s lives. ” He doesn’t have a house in the hills. He actually lives with me after my husband passed. he doesn’t want to live me alone so he stayed.” “He may have all that your son has. but still, I’m proud of my son. ” Just then the rich mom’s son arrived angrily. ” Mom, what’s taking so long” ” Oh, honey, I’m sorry I’m just…” she tried to calm him down. he stopped her in between and said, ” I don’t care If you’re sorry, you are wasting my time. let’s go. ” The poor man looked at her and said ” At least, my son knows how to help his mom. It was nice to meet you.” Moral of the story: Rich mom Poor mom Somebody who loves to compare their life to others to make it seem as if their life is somehow better. They treat life as if it’s some sort of scorecard. and whoever gets the higher score wins. If they went to a better school that doesn’t make them smarter. Since they have more money that doesn’t make them better. Or since they have a fancy house that doesn’t make them happier. But what’s important to remember is having a great life is not based on what you have but it’s based on what you give. That person who didn’t go to the best school may have learned more from his life experience. That person who didn’t have a bank balance may be helping a lot more people. And that person who doesn’t have a house on the hill may still have a happier home. – Ankit Asthana“My intention is to make our lives positive and peaceful, we should show gratitude to God with what we have and feel blessed with the power embedded within us. “.

The First Step

The first step towards Change. It is always hard to take the first step towards change, beat its a big or a small change.  Have you ever noticed that we get very conscious when we are asked to do something different or when we decide to do something different, which is different from normal, regular life and people.  What makes you to be conscious, is it you or the thought “What others would think”. Now, think wisely who are these people? what is there importance in your life? We are not even sure of the fact that these people will be there in our life in the coming days or years. We tend to kill our dreams, the dream we have lived for from ages, the dreams you had since childhood but never been able to execute because of the thought “What others would think”. Remember, “Initiation is the First Step. While initiating at the stage of change, the need for change is recognized at first place. If you are able to gauge the problem and you are confident on your thoughts take a wise step. Just imagine, ever you have thought of swimming in the water was horrendous for you. However, gradually when you started practicing you realized what was I afraid of, swimming is so easy thing to do. To keep accelerating I would recommend you to inculcate these habits while taking our first step towards change: It takes just the first step to initiate something, if you are able to take the first step you would see you are moving towards your goal. With a correct action plan you can make it possible, just believe in yourself. Never give up before trying, “No dreamer is ever too small, no dream is ever too big”. Wish you luck for your future and progress towards your “First Step”. -Ankit Asthana”

Defeat your fear

Defeat your fear – How To Overcome Your fear. “Your fear is your enemy and your courage is the energy”!! Fear defines you!! It establishes a foothold deep within your psyche where it perpetuates as the oppressor of hopes and dreams. Not because it wants to, but because the energy it maintains is one of despair. It is akin to a terrifying dream that never ends, only growing in intensity. Fear is a dictator that grows louder because of the energy it receives.  What starts out as a voice of reason, accompanies you throughout life if you’re unaware. “Fear rips us from freedom. It is the destroyer of greatness. We know this, and we know we should tame our mind in order to defeat fear,” It is the unpopular kid at school who loiters around you during recess. Sure, you might feel sorry for him initially, but he is constantly there by your side. Surely life is more than succumbing to your fears? I know people who are not defined by their fears. They are successful, adventurers and aspirants who don’t allow fear to dull their experience of life. What do they know that others don’t? Experimental: The fearless amongst us have a sense of wonder and adventure. They approach life as an experiment and are curious about the world. Their passion and enthusiasm is central to facing their fears. Fear is not something that stops them, but promotes them. It is feedback that signals something within their psyche they must confront. They realise when their fears intrude on their way of life, it is because they’re taking great strides in pursuit of their dreams and goals, and so it is natural to be terrified. They use fear to promote their agenda instead of letting it defeat them. Most people are consumed by their fears because they believe the narrative it promotes. “Fear, largely, is a waste of good life, one of the most capable thieves of presence”. Fear is an emotion, just like other emotions. Granted, it has a stronger intensity than other emotions but it was never intended to stop you in your tracks, only to provide feedback on your actions. Conquer Your Fears “Obstacles are like wild animals. They are cowards but they will bluff you if they can. If they see you are afraid of them… they are liable to spring upon you; but if you look them squarely in the eye, they will slink out of sight.” — Orison Swett Marden Investigate them, reason with them but don’t buy into the narrative they espouse. Don’t let it be a one-sided conversation because you have power, even in the face of your fears. “Fear was given to us as a motive to avoid physical harm and death. That is it. We are the ones who have perverted it into a tool for the ego’s protection,” explains Brendon Burchard. The secret to living beyond your fears is to approach them with curiosity while observing your reaction. So, if you fear asking your boss for a pay rise because he or she might say no, what small step can you take to overcome this fear? You might compile a list of your achievements and highlight why you are due for a pay rise, given the value you bring to the company. Leverage your fears and you’ll discover the essence of your character. Assuredly, if you listen intently there is a subtle message guiding you to scale your fears. By listening closely, you come to understand the language of your fears. The more you know something, the better you are at taking inspired action to overcome it. Through a sense of wonder you’ll conquer your fears because for most people fear is a STOP sign. However, to the initiated fear is a PROMOTE sign, offering important clues about your inner psyche. Wonder what it’s like to walk in to your boss’s office and ask for a pay rise. Wonder how they respond in kind and grant your request. Wonder, since anything is possible. You paralyse your fears and silence your doubts when you consider all possibilities. Use your sense of wonder to rise above your fearful thoughts, because wonder is an agreeable emotion. It is neutral and inquisitive. Let it take hold and move you toward your hopes, dreams and highest aspirations. Let no fear keep you down or stifle your greatness. After all, it is the same phenomenon seen in the sunset that holds the key to living beyond your fears — a sense of wonder. To live a remarkable life, you must take consistent action in spite of your fears and doubts. – “Ankit Asthana”
